Yes - that's my point.
I don't think CMYK travels well.

I think it's far too complicated for the 'net / 'web.

I am not a graphics guy, so I'm not sure; but I figure that CMYK is a graphics 'mode' or 'standard' or whatever that is not accepted (easily) by the internet.

Perhaps it is a 'publishing' or 'artwork' medium.

If anyone knows, I'd be happy to learn :-)

but save for the web and then png or gif or jpg are offered as an option?

No Mark, a jpg but constructed in CMYK format.

It was just curiosity, as I have soooooh many CMYK problems - I really wouldn't expect a first-ditch attempt to work.

To be honest, I'm stunned that Rick has got as much working as he has!

I have various saved into jpg and never had any problems
with hosting putting images on the net.

So my confusion is confused when you say that
