may be a driver issue, I'm using an nvidia 9800 and other than the fact it is set to 800x600,so it does look a bit pixalated, it looks and plays fine

have to start the DKII.exe in compatibility mode, winXP SP2 or 3, other than that I didn't have to do anything special

actually, I'm running it on 1024x768, thats the max it will go.

are you getting the black blocks during the cinematic? or does it continue into actual game play? try installing the windows 7 codec pack from betanews

if I a remember correctly, that ati card isn't much of an actual game card, more designed for multi media, my dad bought one and I had to return it cause it was junk.

I really don't know what else to tell ya, I had no issues installing it or running it, just had to set XPSP3 mode, and away she went.

did you do these steps?

actual game play is where its blocky, i can't even really see anything .

I was just browsing the gallery feature to see how it worked and noticed the picture of Dungeon Keeper 2. I loved this game! I may have to revisit it now that I know people have managed to get it working under windows 7. I wish they made a DK3.

well, I can play it, Gizmo is still having issues. I think it may be the video card, but no way to to be sure yet.
I was bummed that DK3 never "saw the light of day" either, I was so looking forward to it.

Now I play WoW. not quite the same, but fulfills my OCD issues.
Fallout3 was/is a lot of fun.

RE Wow, I don't think I could get into a MMORPG because my schedule is too erratic to be accountable to a group of real people in a game. You have to have allies or join a "clan" to get anywhere in it, right? Maybe I misunderstand how it works. Man, I feel old. I prefer to sacrifice creatures in a lonely, desolate dungeon.

get the expansion packs if you haven't, I can probably send them to you ;-) I have played through it as the "good guy", I want to buss through it again as evil.

I do have issues with it in Win7, randomly locks up, and I can't play the anchorage expansion at all, which really sucks. was hoping they would patch it but I guess they aren't interested.

they are making an MMORPG out of it, I can't wait.


you can play wow solo, just need to be in a group to access the dungeons/instances, they have 5 man, 10 and 25. used to haev 40 man raids, those were the days, lol - MC RAIDERS! (inside joke)
but they have a new improved "looking for group" tool that makes it a lot easier to pick up a random group on the fly to get in to a dungeon.

if you enjoy solo play, then I'm betting your a diablo person, I'm looking forward to Diablo 3, the shots I have seen are awesome, but it looks like it will be at least another year before it is out.
