Description
Might add a photo gallery to our site, so I'm just in to play and test.

Forgive if this is a dumb question or not the place to be asking, but is there any internal function that scans for potential threats before allowing a members image file to upload?

Well you are correct that is is not the proper place to place this question.
But I don't believe there is a internal function with this software to scan for threats.
I may be wrong so maybe someone else can chime in.

Sure, it only allows graphics, and since they're parsed through GD or ImageMagick if they aren't a graphic it won't be able to do anything with it...
