The like system isn't slated until v7.6.1 as the v7.6.0 feature set was locked some time ago; the system I have in place on my Test Forums is about 90% complete, but couldn't be completed as there where numerous front end fixes that needed to be implemented before the system could be completed.

I was playing with the photo gallery today on a smart phone and tablet as well as the regular computer. I very much like the changes made in this area. One thing that I think would be a great idea for the future is adding a way to limit the size in width of a photo in any forum at its maxim and be able to click on that photo and bring it up like full feature inthe same respect as the photo gallery.

I know not all photos have the same height and width dimensions but a width limit like the avatars would be a great thing. As time goes on the IQ standard pretty much drops a bit and people aren't that savoy to edit or resize a photo on their own. Not that I don't care for those people but people like to take a photo on their smart phone and right away upload it on the internet not being able to resize it for example. Facebook has pretty much created the craze and devised stuff like I mentioned to keep things looking good and in check. wink

I hate Facebook by the way.............

Facebook, ruining communities all over the internet for capital gain.......

JAISP - Just right click the thumbnail and choose "Open Link In New Tab"
That will open the FULL SIZE image in its own tab, and outside of lightbox.

The attached image in the forum posts are also using lightbox, unless they are hot-linked from another website.
If that's the case, you can right-click on their, and do the same thing to get the full size. The inlined versions of hotlinked images should autozie to the the current width of your browser.

I noticed that when you click on a thread that has a new reply in the photo gallery it does not take you to the most recent post as it had in the past but the first post in the gallery and you need to scroll down all the posts. Is that a mistake? Will all threads be like this now? I hate to have to scroll past everything I have all ready seen in the past and just wan't to get right to the new stuff like before.

On the Gallery List page, next to the red new posts count, click the red word, "Comments." This should get the page jumper response you described.

I have not yet ever touched the page on any of my personal sites, or here. Though, I do plan on making the page responsive and bringing it out of the Angelfire/Geocities design, and in to something more modern.

Can't we make it so it is automatic like it had been in the past? UBB is / was way ahead of the rest of the various community software packages in the past but not having it automatic is like using a vBulletin system. Are all the other forms on the site going to be going this method? If so that's not a good thing. I will have to rewrite the code to put it back.

Having WHAT automatic? I probably dont understand what you're asking for.

If there are no new posts, there is no post for the "new posts jumper" to jump to. So instead, you are brought to the top of the comments list.

I know what he means.
If you have unread comments on a gallery forum.
It still starts at the topic post and then you need to scroll down to the new comment even if it is pages long.
But to be honest I think it always worked that way with stock code.
That way you see the topic post with the images.

Jaisp, are you thinking of possibly a mod for classic that added a gallery forum?

Perhaps Rubin I may be but you are understanding what I'm meaning. Sometimes I don't get those words out properly and people just aren't understanding those words coming out of my mouth LOL.

Actually I dug up my old Classic board just 3 days ago. Was wonderful to look at it and play with that old board again. Was still on the server I took out when I upgraded to Threads and a new server at the time.
