#101672 - 04/17/01 03:16 PM "Hidden preview" of Ultimate.cgi?
Anonymous
Unregistered

I'm not sure how to exactly phrase my question, so please bear with me. I've finally gotten around to creating some site specific graphics to replace the graphics included with the UBB version I'm using - 5.47d. I want to see what they look like on the forums without my users seeing them. Is there a way to produce a "fake" Ultimate.cgi so I can preview the graphics before unleashing them on my unsuspecting users?

The only thing I could think of would be saving the Ultimate.cgi HTML page and changing the HTML manually in a test location.

I was thinking along those lines, as well. I think I'll give that a try and see if it works.

If anybody else has some additional ideas I'd greatly appreciate the help.

Forgot to mention earlier, one other possibility.

I use custom forum styles on a hidden forum every now and again to experiment with colour schemes.

Not the same, but gives you an idea.

Graeme,

Thanks for you help. I have a private forum that only a few "staff" members can access, so I'm using that as a testing ground. I'm not sure why I didn't think of it before, but your idea triggered my thinking. Thank you again.
