#103599 - 10/27/00 12:37 PM Registration Internal Error, but works

I'm baaaaack.

Ok, cp: http://www.scattergirl.com/ubb/cp.html

I don't have the default admin activated, tell me if you need me to reinstate.

V5.47. Everything seems to work, except that if you go to the actual board ( http://www.scattergirl.com/ubb_cgi/Ultimate.cgi?action=intro ) and register, you get an internal server error upon submitting.

The freaky thing, though, is that it actually works, despite appearances. In other words, the registration does go through and the member is able to post, etc.

Any thoughts? I know this type of mistake is usually tough to hunt down, but...

Go to your General Settings and run the Socket test in the second paragraph. If it fails, there is a link to instructions on a fix.

Do you have any email functions associated with registrations turned on? It may be that if you do, whether it is SMTP or sendmail, might be causing the problem.

If you do have email functions turned on, try turning them off and see if it resolves the problem. If so, then we've narrowed things down.
