I just thought I'd see what someone else thought before I make my move.

I'm currently running UBB 5.45b. I'm considering upgrading to the latest version but I but don't want to do so if I'm going to experience performance issues, etc.

Right now with the exception of one or two minor issues my board is running well and always has from the start back in 2000.

So should I do it or not?

Should you upgrade? Absolutely! I could name a few dozen really big reasons (falling in the realm of security, features, and stability...)

If your board is already running slowly, you can expect the 6 series to run just as slowly, unfortunately.

Have you looked into UBB.threads or our hosting service w/ UBB.x? If your board is growing, moving off to Threads or UBB.x may be better than upgrading to the 6-series UBB.

Thanx for the reply Charles

That's my problem. Currently my boards running fine with very little if anything to complain about.

I really hate to roll the dice with the upgrade but then again I don't want to fall too far behind making upgrading a nightmare.

In short 5.45b has been very, very, good to me but I think it's time to move on despite the fact that everythings A-ok. I just wanted to see what some others thought before I spent the $99.

Thanx again!
