#107192 - 01/16/01 10:02 AM !!!! HELP !!!!

I have recently started having posting problems in the forums, post not appearing in the forums, but the *.cgi files are being created. I felt it might be a quota issue and followed the instructions on the support page for recovering from such a problem. Now after deleting all the *.thread files, and running the rebuild options in the Control Panel - the processes did not recreate them. Now all I have is empty forums, all the *.cgi files exist on the server but the *.thread files do not. I am using 5.47b and everything was working fine until this past Sunday the 14th.

The URL is :

http://www.cartoyz.net/cwl/cgi/Ultimate.cgi?action=intro

Any help in rebuilding the files needed would be GREATLY appreciated - THANK YOU.

Can't anyone tell me how to rebuild the *.thread files - all the other files exist, *.cgi and *.html, but without the *.thread files all the forums are blank. - I can't believe that no one knows how to do this.

Okay, specifically which control panel functions have you tried? There are two that may help. One is under the Misc. and Debugging link called Rebuild Forums. The other is Update Threads. Did you try both, and if so were there any errors?

Yes I have tried both options, everything appears to work fine, no errors, but then again no *.thread files either and without these the board is useless. Is there a utility to rebuild these files from the existing *.cgi and other support files ??

I haven't heard of any other utilities to rebuild these. Infopop is going to need to examine your board personally. Go to the trouble ticket page and select UBB Malfunctions from the drop-down list.
