I keep getting this error message:

"We are temporarily upgrading our Memberships. This process only takes a minute or two. Please try registering again in a couple of minutes."

I have gone over my UBB settings a million times and can't find a reason why this is happening...please help

The error occurs during three possible conditions. If Members/test.file or NonCGI/test.file exist, or if emailfile.cgi doesn't exist.

Its probably that the emailfile.cgi file doesn't exist, so I would hop on over to http://www.ubbcentral.com/downloads and get the 5.x rebuildmems script and run it.

If that doesn't do it, you may want to delete the test files noted above.

You should probably consider upgrading as well

I don't know how to run scripts...I'm a basic user and the control panel is the only thing I know how to use to change my UBB settings.

Tried what you said:

1. downloaded script and inserted into the folder http://www.modracer.com/cgi-bin/rebuildmems.cgi

2. Opened http://www.modracer.com/cgi-bin/rebuildmems.cgi in a browser and it gave me this message:

STOP! Please close your UBB first in the control panel.

I'm sorry but I'm lost...

You'll need to turn off your UBB - the toggle is in the Misc section of the General Settings area of the control panel.
