#108241 - 01/30/01 02:08 PM Demo version - installation failure

I'm currently getting the error:

"Unable to make new forum directory
Error: No such file or directory

Please check the path to the NonCGI directory in the control panel.

Also check the directory permissions again."

My cp.html file is at http://www.personal.psu.edu/faculty/d/l/dlh24/ubb/cp.html .

Currently all permissions are actually set to 777 until I can get things working...so permissions shouldn't be the problem. Can anybody take a look and give me some advice?

Thanks,
David

I have made several attempts without success to work out your paths and URLs. I am suspicious from the URLS that the html and scripts are on different servers. Check with your information tech folks and see if they can give you the absolute paths and if they are all on the same machine. Usually, you cannot run UBB unless everything is on the same machine or there are very special configurations.

David, the default paths appear to be the correct ones, though when submitting them, it comes up with a permission denied error on the noncgi directory. Ensure that the noncgi directory is set with 777 permissions.
