I installed UBB on W2003/IIS6. Everything went fine. I was able to set my General Settings etc.
But i cannot get the board up. I get the following error.
-----
CGI Error
The specified CGI application misbehaved by not returning a complete set of HTTP headers.
----
I tried everything i found on google. A test script in the same folder worked fine. I don't think it's a permissions error.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That error is known in the Unix world as "Premature end of script headers" and is about the most useless error EVER.

Does this only occur when making a form submission?

That doesn't sound good.
It occurs when i try and load Ultimate.cgi.
I can load the other cgi scripts ok (eg cpanel.cgi) which makes all the more confusing.

What's the URL to your cp.html file, please? (Moving this down to 5-series support...)

I'm afraid it's on an intranet behind a firewall. Is there anything else i can give you to help?

Without access to the server, unfortunately, there's little that can be done, unfortunately. Especially with the 5-series.

Which exact version are you working with? If you can't determine this from the control panel, the version number will be listed at the top of either ubb_library.pl or ubb_library2.pl...

Considering that 5.46 was released over four years ago, you really do need to upgrade, yes.

I'd suggest downloading the trial version (link's on the left) and installing it on your server - if it installs without a problem (no mysterious and annoying internal server errors), then you'll have no problems upgrading either. It's a trimmed down version of 6.6, the previous major version.
