For some reason when I edit a users POST the "edited by..." message appears. I looked in the CP and it appears I have everything checked properly.

You have the grace period set to 0 minutes, which means the edited by will always show up.

That makes no sense then. What number am I supposed to put in so it will not show up?

If your edit limit is 3 minutes, then put 3 in the box.

If you are editing a message made by another user (as an admin or mod), then the edit message will always appear. This is intentional.

It is something I felt should be an option we have a choice of.

If not, we'll just have to see what the new product feature wil have for this edited by settings. I hope it gives us the option. But, thanks to Ron M.'s replies to this topic starters thread and Charles's reply I now have the answer as to why the edited by: message shows up!

The new product will function in the same way.

Users have the right to know when an admin has fiddled with their messages.

This is working as intended.
