Just trying to implement the RSS 2.0 feed in the content island section. I tested the output at http://feedvalidator.org and it does not validate for the reasons below:

The time is not in a RFC-822 format.

The description contains multiple bad characters, all starting with \x followed by two numbers.

Is there a fix available for this?

Kinda, I think it's a little early in feedvalidator's life to spend a lotta time worrying about getting everything perfect - apparently they are changing what it means to validate on a random basis. As long as the feed is readable by major readers, then we're good until they work out the validator issues.

If you really want to ensure "proper" RSS feeds, I'd recommend reading the W3C standpoint on RDF as it is the standard...
