It will be quite some time before 6.2 is ready. We're just in the very early stages of it as we don't have 6.1 final at this point. So I couldn't even take a guess on it right now.

How close is 6.1?

Not sure of an actual release date yet. I wouldn't imagine it would be too far off. We have the second beta out to a private group and so far things seem to be pretty good. Just depends on when all the docs are done and it goes through QA. Should have more info as we get a little closer.

Anyone currently running the beta of 6.1 will need to run the following sql commands in order for the mass mailer to work properly (If you used a different database prefix you will need to change w3t_Users to {yourprefix}Users, like betaUsers)

ALTER TABLE w3t_Users CHANGE U_EmailFormat U_EmailFormat VARCHAR(10) DEFAULT 'plaintext'

ALTER TABLE w3t_Users CHANGE U_AdminEmails U_AdminEmails VARCHAR(3) DEFAULT 'On'

UPDATE w3t_Users SET U_AdminEmails='On'

UPDATE w3t_Users SET U_EmailFormat='plaintext'

Can't wait for the new version of Threads to come out. I'll probably wait until 6.1.1 is realesed (just to take of the few inevitable bugs that will have to be ironed out, but once that's out I'm ready to become a Threads user. Finally!

I just installed beta 6.1 and I get this error when ever I reply to a post.... Help

I played with 6.0 when it was new...
there were lots of bugs and issues.

But I have been playing extensively with 6.1 br1 and have gone live with it on my main site.

It is remarkably bugless by comparison. Ask Rick, I've tried to do my best as a beta tester to "break it", but I've only been able to find minor things.

I wouldn't have gone "live" with it if I didn't think it were very stable. I don't have time to read the complaints and problem emails from my users. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="images/icons/tongue.gif" /> LOL
