0.- Currently, postings can be seen in flat or tree form.
1.- In my wish, *Each Posting* would be a sub-tree.
2.- Trees, and subtrees, should be downloadable.
3.- Then each of us, at home, can "manually process the outline". Some call this "thinking with outlines". You can sort, shuffle, prioritize, categorize, de-categorize, etc --- all the raw "ideas".
This way, the "unit" is not the "posting", but the "idea". An "idea" is any chuck of text that we care to treat independently: a fact, an opinion, a creative idea ...
The outline you download is in some "open" format: Emacs outline format, XML, or some other.
4.- Finally, we can post our newly created posting - a summary, or a complement (maybe sorting all the other ideas we find what's missing), a priorization, or whatever.
5.- The whole "idea tree" is as GPL as you want it to be. I like to call this "cothinking with outlines". Imagine trying to solve traffic, ecology, or whatever "community problem" you may think off. Like a CVS of some sort ...
