This has been mentioned before... but it is something I am likely to code into my copy of wwwthreads and wondered if it should be a 'feature'

Templates for the way forums, threads and messages are displayed... this should be particularly easy as the system uses mysql as it is... so you can use a parser just to plonk the relevant fields into the templates and almost totally customise the look and feel!

If I get round to it I will post the relevant files here... or if anyone else has done this please let me know!

In my opinion this is a very important feature. the only reason why I havent installed wwwthreads so far is because I work for a french company, and it would mean translating all the HTML into french - or even maintaining 2 versions of the scripts if a client wanted a forum in French and English.

Also, once the scripts are translated, it is then impossible to upgrade to a later version of wwwthreads without completely restarting from scratch.

Ben, let me know if you're going to attempt this - I'd be intersted to see how you get on, and give you a helping hand if necessary.

I would need that feature too. I'm just considering to translate all the HTML into Finnish ;-)
