Hi Eileen ![[Smile]](images/icons/smile.gif)
In reply to:
No. What you propose is Mass mailing. The Email a friend just goes to One person. [/quote] Yes, the Email a friend goes to one person . . . at a time (with number per minute being dependent on how fast the server responds and how fast my macro can fill in the form), to a person who might consider the mail sent to them as unsolicited and thus spam. The bottom line is that people love to share their findings with others (hence the email a friend feature right?). They need to interact and the more you allow people to interact and share, the more your community will grow. Perhaps the feature I am suggesting could be turned on or off at the Admin level, thus giving concerned admins control over what happens in their forums, perhaps the Admin could limit a user's bump list to 25 people, or 50. There are many ways of going about allaying your concerns. The bottom line is that this is a feature that works and it is a feature that my users are asking for. Used judiciously it can enhance rather than detract from any online community. Best regards, Derek
