Half the time when I visit the forums I am sort of in a hurry, so I look for those "NEW" icons... and I often forget to check if there is a zero "0" in the reply's and therefore do not check that new thread until there is a reply (only then will there be a new icon). I suggest placing a "new" icon for new threads under postlist.pl as I am sure I am not the only one to not think he has already read everything because there is no "new" icon displayed when there is no reply to a new unread thread.

Agreed, since the orange vs. yellow post icons don't work very reliable - and are too similar in color in the first place... I've missed "new" flags too... thanks for bringing this up!
