As suggested in the changelog I think implementing some good hacks from threadsdev as standard would be a good idea. We don't want any hacks, because the original version of threads is not stable itself..

With all respect, but I do believe that threads is the version of UBB which doesn't get much attention. If you compare it to other bulletin boards working with a database, threads has only a few options they have...

I too would like to see more options implemented as soon as possible. It shouldn't be that hard since many features have already been written and are working fine (ex. threadsdev).

While this is a popular request, I doubt it will happen, in as much as all features added to either threads or classic are written by Infopop from the ground up. The use of existing hacks, to my knowledge is simply not done. Many "hacks" are great in theory but unsound across the board. However they do serve one irreplaceable function. They show the desire for a feature and serve as a great R&D helper.
