I really really would like to be able to change the "Contact Us" link from an email address to a link. We set up a form for people to submit problems and it works a zillion times better than email.

Through the form, we ask very specific questions which results in 99.9% of problems being resolved from the form submission. Most users don't know to provide specific info in an email.

So please allow us to toggle "Contact Us" to a link. And I am not interesting in hackig our system to do it.

I've got a contact form like that.

You can modify the link without hacking, as it's determined in the templates - it's in the ubbt_footer.tmpl file.

From the admin menu choose "Edit a Template" and choose the "ubbt_footer.tmpl" file.

Change the "mailto:" link to whatever html link you want.

Drop by threadsdev and grab the contact us form Josh wrote, it's quick and easy to install and very functional. Best of all it protects the email address by using the one in the php.ini
