I agree, the search is a major improvement and there's no signs of any slowdown.

Would it be possible to add a "search all" to the "forum to search" pull-down menu?
Also, could boolean functions be added to the actual text input, ie. "stuff AND something NOT (this OR that)"?

Hopefully the search options will grow and I can get it so you can use the boolean functions. It's gonna take a bit before I can figure out how to "search all" though. Before all of the indexed words were in one table, now I am searching individual tables, so I have to figure out how to run a search across all of the tables.

Hey scream,

If it's possible and not too complicated to do, both of those features would be a nice addition, but even without them the search works quite nicely.

I'm more and more impressed with your work on this program everytime a new version comes out, and this latest is superb. The script really is nearing perfection. It's getting to the point where it's actually becoming difficult to think of places where improvements could be made. In my opinion, this is hands down the best BBS script out there, and that includes all those high priced commercial programs. I don't think any others can even come close.

By the way, a few weeks ago there was a "Is it really butt ugly?" thread on one of the boards, and I think the latest cosmetic changes you've made here show that it most certainly isn't. The forum now has a nice color scheme to it, there's no clutter, it's easy to navigate and use, and the format/layout's perfect. You'd be hard-pressed to find a nicer looking messageboard anywhere.
