%1 is not a valid Windows NT application.

That is still what I get in IE5.5 and NS 4.76. It is not a permission issue, it is a mapping issue. Did you try runnng hello.pl and hello.cgi in your cgi-bin?

As before, refer them to Mapping cgi to perl.

Hi again Hal, and thanks for responding Forgive my ignorance, but how do I "run" those two programs from that directory? I'm assuming its not as simple as ftp'ing into the website...

After a quick check, I also note that I don't have hello.pl or hello.cgi in my cgi-bin directory... (edit... doh, disregard, I found the files in my help dir in my distribution files )

Upload the two files in ascii mode to your cgi-bin directory. Run with the browser.

When I run them on your site, I get the error above from the cgi file and the pl does not execute. Either both pl and cgi are not mapped or the directory is not configured to execute files (or both). Maybe it's time to think about another host?????

Alright, I think we're getting somewhere here... neither script worked, thanks Hal, I'll inform/update my admin guy

As for changing hosts, these people have really been great, this has really been the only problem.
