In the instructions it tells you not to use relative URLs, why? My UBB is on an intranet, but I would like to have it viewable from WAN. The only way to have both would be to make the links relative, hardcoding prevents either one or the other.

Is it possible to use relative links with UBB?

The UBB uses cookies to determine sessions and new post flagging. It's designed to run under ONE domain name. While you can use relative URLs, it is not highly recommended, and may cause unexpected behavior.

In other words, feel free to try it, but we might not be able to help you if weird things start happening (more out of being unable to figure out the problem than not being willing to try).

Thanks for the quick reply. I'm still undecided on whether to try it or not. I'll visit back to let you know how it turns out if I do end up going for it.

I did try it with UBB 5.4, or whatever the latest version 5 was, and it worked great. Now, I'm doing the UBB 6 upgrade and it won't work with relative URLs...

I'll post in another section (UBB6 questions) to find the answer to this.
