I just loaded UBB6 over the most recent 5.47(something or other). My site was fairly pristine... just me posting to it.
Things loaded OK & the ubb_upgrade.cgi script suggested I was up & running.... but

After I log in as Admin, I get no further than the following, anemic, page (which has broken graphics by the way):

Your message board is CLOSED. [/CODE]The [control panel] and [logout] text seem to be the only links on this 'Entry Page' that point to anything -- shoot I was expecting a full-bodied navigation bar on the left hand side.

How do I get to the the control panel?

Please send me a PM with your admin username and password - we'll need to look at your control panel in order to look at the problems. It looks like a URL or path error.

I've fixed it now. Step #3 in the upgrade instructions could use a revision to explain that the *.gif, *.jpg and *.js files found in the unzipped noncgi folder should be placed in a better location.

The ubb6_test.cgi provided no hints to the problem (it said all was ok). So here is the fix:

cd to my cgi-bin/NonCGI directory

and then did:
[CODE]cp *.gif ../../www/ubb
cp *.jpg ../../www/ubb
cp *.js ../../www/ubb [/CODE]The result was three fold:
1) broken graphics all fixed;
2) a nice horizontal, drop-down, menu now appears in my 'Entry Page'; and
3) when I navigate to the 'Style Templates', I get more than just a blank page.

By the way, the above fix seemed (i think) to trigger my UBB to change states from CLOSED to OPEN. (of course I did a lot of other things that may have triggered that in the background).

I'm looking forward to put a nice 'face' on the UBB -- still the styles are quite generic.
