Sure, let me ask a few questions though:

What webserver do you use?

And did the test script hello.pl properly execute from your browser, or did it give a similar error?

i cannot run the hello.cgi and hello.pl any idea why is it so...

when you say "cannot run" do you mean that you get similar errors? or do you get Internal Server errors?

If you get errors similar to the one you posted above, then it looks like Perl isn't installed on your machine.

If you get Internal Server errors, try setting the permissions on the files... If you're running Unix, you want 755 permissions on them. If you're on NT, you want the IUSR_ (browser) account to have read & execute permissions.
