IN the 5 series I was able to edit a single message by forum. Pruning doesn't do it and its clumsy. Am I missing something here?

I don't think so..

You could probably use the old -1 trick to get all the threads and then deselect all but the corrupt one.

Unfortunately, it is a tedious process..

I think that's on Joe's "what would you add" list - or used to be..

NOTE: You could add a temporary hack to cp_prune_submit.pl so the checkboxes were not selected by default. That would make it faster..

If only that were an option, or a JavaScript override..
