#160112 - 01/30/02 08:44 PM Accelerator Error

I get this error at the top of the page in only 1 of my 22 forums.

Warning: chmod failed: Operation not permitted in /usr/local/www/vhosts/livehope/forums/ultimatebb.php on line 344

I've done a chmod 777 for the entire board and it doesn't seem to help.

The Board URL is http://forums.livehope.org - due to the sensitive material, only the Feedback forum is open to the public - and it's not the one with the problem.

Any ideas? -- other than turning the accelerator off?

Well, I just did a Rebuild Forum Stats and that seemed to fix it.

Any idea what the cause was?

I spoke too soon. I finished the Stats rebuild and that message popped up in several other places. I've turned off the accelerator unitl this can be resolved.

That won't help.

Please speak to your web hosting provider. Ask them if they are using a CGI wrapper such as 'suexec' or 'cgiwrap'.

Chances are that they are doing so, but are not operating PHP in a similar matter. When it tries to set permissions on a file it needs to, it can't because the ownership is incorrect.

If your host is unable to resolve the issue, you will be unable to use the Accelerator.
