Is there a way to make it so the who's online screen shows more details? I have members asking this as threads 6 actually showed the post someone was in rather than the forum they are in?

Right now, no. This was one of the things that was cut back during the rewrite. It's one of the things that I hope to get back in either for 7.1 or 7.2 however.

The way it was done before was very inefficient. When doing the database redesign we basically stripped out anything that needed to be rethought completely and plan on adding them back in over time. I've got most readded now for 7.1.
