I have someone requiring the Custom Profile Field #2 for the registration page and when filling out the info we get "All of the required fields are not filled in" upon submission.
Custom Profile Field #1 isn't currently being used, could that be the problem? It was in the past so people have info already in that field so it can't easliy be switched. It's a bug tho, eh?
