All,

I get the following error after trying to open the forum page after upgrading from 6.5.5 to 7.0.

Warning: mysql_connect(): Access denied for user 'www-data'@'localhost' (using password: NO) in /var/www/apache2-default/forums/mysql.inc.php on line 36

This is not the correct username or password. How do I change the username and passwd so I can log in?

You'll want to check your config.inc.php file in the includes directory. This has all of the database settings.

The config.inc.php file has all the correct info for the database, but somehow it's not getting passed correctly during login.

Hmm, that sounds like some mixup. Did you install version 7 into the same directory as your version 6.5.5 forums? Might need you to open a support ticket with the FTP info so I can take a look at the layout and what might be going on.
