New users keep getting this error when they try to register:

Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting '(' in /home/www/jakchat/forums/languages/english/adduser.php on line 6

what should i do to fix this??

i suspect it's a consequence of my install stuff up from 7.0 to 7.0.2. if i simply copy over the entire contents of the languages directory from the installation version to the languages folder on my system, what would be the consequences??

As long as you've made no custom changes to your language files overwriting the entire directory will be fine. If you have made any changes to any of the language strings then just copy over the languages/english/adduser.php language file.

yes, copying just the adduser.php has fixed that problem.

but now i have another problem with IE7, and users who can't log out ...
