"Themes" are defined via styles yes, the style setting in UBB7 uses CSS code; you can find a ton of information via google on CSS, a good place to get started is one of my favorite sites http://www.w3schools.com/css/default.asp

There is a styles section here and one at UBBDev; both don't have the styles that shipped with 6.5 because those styles are non-compatable (a completley differant system).

Best suggestion is, grab a style that someone has made from the style section and upload it via the styles section of Control Panel. Then, edit the new style and just play around and you will soon see how the various parts of the styles control the look of various parts of the board. Also, as Gizmo suggested, the http://www.w3schools.com has very easy to understand tutorials on css so you will at least understand what you are looking at when you edit a style. Its so easy even I could understand it \:D

Just a quick question - I found one in the section you mentioned (Black and Grey) - their is a text file for download which I downloaded and then uploaded via styles. But when I preview it, it looks strange and not like the actual style as shown be the user who has uploaded it.

Am I missing something?

Did it come with a readme file or any other instructions? Some styles come with images that need to be uploaded as well.
