What we're doing now is setting a fixed width for the quote/php/code tags. This is necessary for IE to scroll properly. On this site it's a 510px width. If you srinkk the window down to being less than that, Firefox will overflow the entire post contents window to prevent the page layout from being messed up.

Yeah, it's a compromise so IE will work properly. If you're not worried about IE not overflowing properly on your site then you can keep the old style settings intact for the ubbcode blocks.

Well not sure what you're talking about. For me FireFox displays correctly. In IE7 I have to scroll the entire page now even at maximized browser and 1600x1200 screen size.

So not sure what is supposed to be fixed but it does not appear that way to me in IE7

Wondering if we could just detect the browser and include a "firefox" or "ie" stylesheet that has just the ie settings that are so bonkers \:\(
