I know you can allow toggle of side bars from within "Preferences" but it would be really nice if the users could more easilt toggle side bars (one or both) from the My Stuff drop down. Just a thought.

It would be cool if there was a toggle button (one for each column) on every page, as opposed to going into Preferences or drop-downs...

We had this in beta, but the general consensus was that it sucked if you wanted to force ads on the sidebar and users could just disable them; so the feature itself was removed until it could be rethought.

What I mean is...
You can't override the Admin settings (like currently, you can't turn off if Admin doesn't allow it)... just as a shortcut to enable/disable what you currently can via Preferences.

I was referring to the collapsable categories sugguestion for the sidebars, there wasn't a way that could be thought at the prior time to allow it, but allow for "don't allow collapsing" of specific islands which would have made things work well (to the best of my knowlege) (also note, I'm only providing this as this feature was in my public beta on my site, so i don't think i'm violating nda discussing it)

Kinda like collapsing categories. I like. Maybe something like the linked image below, but still have ability to toggle left and/or right sides selectable from admin. (look in the nav menu just above the left and right side bars) Example Side Bar Toggle Basil
