How long will Shout Box messages stay if no one says anything?

i.e. If no one says anything for 24 hours or more is there some mechanism that will remove them or not display them?


All Shouts are now gone on my board.

If I post anything, and leave it there, and no one else posts anything; its there indefinately.

If people post content enough for it to scroll off, it will be deleted.

Once scrolled off, it is purged.

You can see my testboard for a good example; I made all of the posts weeks ago, and theyr'e all still there.

Thanks. That means that someone deleted them or there is a bug in 7.02

Back to the other post I made. I would like UBBT 7.1 to have more granular controls where I can say who does what and not just if in Moderator group you can do just about anything you want.

7.1 is locked as far as features go, keep in mind B3 will likely be in the users hands "soon"; so 7.2 is your hope ;).

I do agree though, your staff shouldn't be able to just delete everything, but keep in mind that the box is global, so the only other resolve would be make it admin only but then your staff coudn't monitor the box...

The only real thing to do for now would be to ream everybody lol

I've posted in the Suggestions forum for better security controls.

As more and more people seem to want to run boards with money transactions happening the current security levels are not good enough (imho)
