Well done with the beta.. I gave up with it in the end, and have started playing again. Two questions really.. first is a problem with the install.
I can install 7.0.2 no problem at all. Runs through, takes me into the wizard to setup a new site and then takes me into the main site. Then, if I try and do anything control panel related I get an error.
CGI Error The specified CGI application misbehaved by not returning a complete set of HTTP headers.
If I try and go direct to the admin panel myself, it then tells me I am not logged in, takes me to the login page, then gives me the same error again.
Any ideas on that?
2. Upgrading.
I just need some clarification. If I try and run an upgrade to 6.5.x I get a page full of SQL errors about tables that exist or fields that done and it just stops, so not much help really.
Can we do an inplace upgrade, or are we meant to be doing an import into a new setup? Is that the recommended way using the importer?
Thanks in advance.

My names greg? lol...
Umm not too sure, are you able to login to your forums properly? Is it the threads cp you can't login to? Cas I don't really see why it'd give you a cgi error...
Yes, lets me login fine. I can go through the forums no problem at all, its only when I goto the control panel. Which was weird, as they loaded fine when I played with the installation wizard to setup basic stuff on a new install, but once it takes you to the site you cannnot get back.

Do you have any access to the server error logs? The error you're getting is pretty generic, and you might find more info in the error logs.
As for not being logged in when trying to visit the control panel. This *could* be cookie related. If your new install is running under the same domain as the old one, then it could be cookie conflicts if the new install wasn't setup with a custom cookie prefix. You could try deleting your cookies completely from your domain, then closing your browser and re-logging in.
Hmmm well I've turned on logging and it shows you doing everything upto the point you click CONTROL PANEL and then nothing is logged at all about the failure. Nothing in the IIS logs, or in the Win2003 logs..
So not sure what else to check..

Ok, if possible I may need to get the info to your server and board, ftp and admin info so I can do a bit of debugging to see what's going on. You can put that into a support ticket if you'd like and I'll take a look.
