I think we should post the english language files here so that users can participate in updating strings vs just relying on license holders; but that's more rick's call either way...

I update my new language pack. I found some errors and use an other translation for 'Mood'.

Ich habe das paket noch mal erneuert und ein paar Updates eingepflegt.

Dann stimmen bei dir, so wie es oben steht, die Dateirechte für die DEUTSCHEN files nicht. Bei den Englischen hast sie offenbar richtig gesetzt. Vergleiche doch einfach mal den Inhalt der beiden Verzeichnisse oder gib allen Dateien in german das Recht 666 oder testweise auch 777, je nach dem was dein server braucht. Das gleiche gilt für das Verzeichniss selber. Da müssen die Rechte auch stimmen.

Kann es sein, dass es evtl. daran liegt, dass diese Funktion im Demoboard nicht funktioniert ?

PS. Gibt es eigentlich auch irgendwo eine deutsche Version für die Installation bzw. Update vom UBB class auf das UBB Thread ?

soweit ich weis gibt es die Dokumentation nur auf englisch. Es kann gut sein, das es in der Demoversion nicht geht.

Hi,

I updated from 7.0.2 to 7.1.b4 according to the instructions. In 7.0.2 I used your German translation, the forum software was set to German as I closed the forums for the update. The update went well with no error messages. After the update I downloaded your new language package 7.1.b4 and copied the files to their respective destinations, also with no error messages.

Now I can enter the forums, they display in German but they are still closed. When I try to enter the Admin area, I get the message:

Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_VARIABLE in D:\Webseiten\rsc-komet\ubb\languages\german\admin\generic.php on line 175

I have no idea what to change in order to get it up and running again. Any ideas/suggestions?

I take a quick look on this file ... This message comes from wrong quotes or missing ; in the file.

/edit: Opps, got it in line 174 is missing a ; at the end of the line. fixed and reupload my pack. Thanks for report.

So are these Language Packs now supported in 7.1b4 ?

If the languages have been adapted for 7.1 they should work without issues; I believe usage of multiple languages is in 7.1

Yes, multiple languages will work in 7.1b4. I'm actually going to put Zarzal's language pack to use here so people can actually see how it works on the forums.

I update the archive again. There was a shoutbox problem on the portal if you use umlaute or special chars in the string $ubbt_lang['DELETE_SHOUT'] = "Lösche Shout ID:"; in the file language/portal_islands.php
I change the string to work without umlaute.
This stop the shoutbox from working. Thanks to Elmar Frank.

yes Gizmo. Its a big problem because you dont know which string is used with Java. If you know the strings you can take care and use other text without these chars.

This problem comes up in every translation. Chinese and Cyrillic are big problems too. I write a german note below.

guter Vorschlag. Per Default ist ja dieser String in der aktuellen Beta sowieso leer. Ich änder das mal. Muss mir auch durchgerutscht sein.
