I'd like to customize the text input area to be the same length as the existing table cell. I do like the feature of making it taller or shorter :-) but it would be sweet to have it naturally as wide as the table cell because I feel as if I am typing into small boxes.

How can I do that?

Looks like it might be in the actual code.

<textarea cols="65" rows="10"

And taking a closer look I have an understanding why it is not customizable easily.

Can anyone offer a suggestion as to why this should not be changed to say 80 cols for our board and the best way to go about this?

Honestly I would just go into your style settings, go down to the extra block and add

 Code:
textarea { width: 100%; }

Yes that is a much better proposition.

Thank you and it works. But only for the quick reply.!!

So I think the table cell for the regular reply would have to be made larger.

you have to specify that in

.markup_panel too

width: 98%;

(as 100 renders oddly there)
Thanks for the tips!!

The style editor has a section for "Form" elements, drop your width in there for the options you wish to edit, it should work similar to the textarea above.

And the reason only the textarea element was edited before is because normal text boxes are input boxes and not textarea boxes.

No that didnt work at all and was one of the first things I tried after getting the tip.

Specifying the width of the .markup_panel is what resolved it for the post area as I mentioned above.
