In the UBBT_USERS table there is a column named USER_REGISTRATION

It seems that almost all the entries have 127.0.0.1 except for Administrators and Moderators

Why is that and what is it used for ?

The main Administrator account (2) also has 127.0.0.1 but the other Admins do not.

127.0.0.1 would mean localhost and i think it'd be used if no ip was logged perhaps?

You mean USER_REGISTRATION_IP ?

Should be self-explanatory. Mine are filled in pretty well, and fully for those who've registered under Threads. If it can't determine the IP address they registered with, it'll default to 127.0.0.1

I don't have a USER_REGISTRATION field in UBBT_USERS -- that's why I asked.

Doh! My fault was looking at wrong data. Yes you were correct Geoff about the name.

But still doesn't make sense that ALL of them would be 127.0.0.1

I can understand a few of them maybe being 127.0.0.1 but not all of them.

Okay - got curious and did a full query - seems that the software was probably broken or configured wrong at some time as old accounts are set at 127.0.0.1 and not new ones.
