I have sending PM's back and fourth to members in my site. I had a 1000 pm's so I erased them all.

Now people are calling me mad, asking why I don;t return the PM's!!

I tell them I don't have any PM's

On there screen it shows the PM topic is still active and the new message is unread by me,

I see nothing on my screen..

big problem for me, I have 18000 thousand users and my database shows they use 170000 PM topics..

I have 569000 posts in my forums

If you had deleted them, then you would no longer be a participant - so not sure how they could reply to you.

the problem is that thousands of users are replying back to PM's and waiting for answer and will never recieve it, they don't know that the other person removed the PM and cannot see it.

The participants dropdown, and the unread by: portion should change to reflect that you are no longer participating in the topic. We will be adding something in an upcoming version that basically adds a post to the topic stating that "so and so has removed themself from the private message."

I will make them aware of the participant drop down.
if the upcoming mod reflects "so an so has removed themself from the private message" that would be great if we can change thise text in languages.
