Is it possible to allow a post to be notified more than once?
When a second person tries it say "All ready been done" or words to that effect.

The reason being that we just had a Notifyed post
and the reasoning was poor behind it.

But i recieved a PT from a member wanting to Notify that
same post, but gave me alot more information about the
situation.

Notify 1 = decided to let it go (Stay).
PT = Post was removed.

So is there away to allow more than one Notify per post?

Currently, that would be a negative. Once a moderator has been notified of a post, then it won't allow further notifications to prevent the mods from being spammed.

Not that I use it much but what about Moderators to send to other Moderators or Admins ? Maybe allow them to for forums they don't Mod.

I actually think it'd be beneficial to have each and every report go thru -- If I got 10 complaints about a particular post, I'd notice it faster and consider it high priority. I'll also get specific comments from 10 different people why they think the post sucks. Heck, the first person could've "reported" how much he liked the thread. ;\) And the first person reporting a post might not be a Mod - and Mod feedback is important to me.

But I stress again, on a related subject, I *really* think everyone receiving the email should be listed in the CC: or To: fields of the email, so Admins know who's getting a copy -- but more importantly, so we can hit Reply and discuss the matter amongst Mods without the need to look up email addresses...

I found that i was reporting posts as a Admin to Moderators
more than what members were.

I found it usefull as a training tool for new moderators,
not knowing where to draw the line.

An acumulation of Reported posts does give you more
of a insite into its content.

The way it worked in classic was spot on.

And in classic ive never suffered from any spam with this feature.

Personally i would see it as a positive to get as much feed back as posible about a topic.

Most reported posts i found were comunity baised were someone
was having a dig at someone else, but it was more of a stealth attack?

So someone may report it as

1st
"Watch this Member there is history with xxx"

2nd Report
"Would you please remove this post, as its a dig at me"

As there is as always a fine line between an Opinion and
someone being rude or offensive and its the members who
let me know.

I even get reports saying

"pmsl"

And under the current system,
if "pmsl" was the first Reported post, then i would have
no idea of its context or its hidden content.

Thanks for reading \:\)

I object entirely, I don't want an email being sent to me as a mass mail to allow others recievingf it to see my email address... think of automated bot registrations; can you say "look, i'm feeing your emails to bot traps" anyone?

Got to agree with Gizmo (shock horror ;\) ) cc. is bad for emails - copy everyone in on PM's - no problem....
