Is there any way to automatically lock a topic once it reaches a certain amount of posts or pages?
We have a "100 post per thread" rule, but have a hard time enforcing it. Our board is pretty active, and if we go a couple of days without going through and manually locking them, some of our board members will just keep posting. Playing the role of "lock monster" really limits my time of being able to take care of other things on the board.
Just recently upgraded to 7.0.2, and still playing around with it. I'm sure there'll be more questions later! Thanks!

Not at this time, but I'm very curious -- why limit the number of posts/thread like that?
Due to the nature of our board, we want to try to keep posters focused and on-topic with their situations. Once the threads get too large, that's tough to do. It has the tendency of becoming more of a blog, which we want to try to avoid.
A lot of our members are constantly on the board, especially during the nights and weekends. It doesn't take long to get a couple of hundred posts on a certain thread, and lose focus of staying on track for what we want to accomplish.
I guess so. Mine is a more conversational site, regardless of the topic, yet when it does get grossly off-topic (usually to the point of bad mouthing lol ) is when I usually close the topics...
