I've imported from 6.7.1 classic to threads 7.1.
It's all working well - but the old avatars look terrible.

No matter what size I set the avatars to - (as they are all different sizes) they look 'weird'.

a - is there a way around this?
b - if not, how can I delete all the imported avatars?
(i.e. where are they stored?)

Obviously, I would prefer the (a) answer ;\)

Thanks for any input \:\)

Ah - addition - if I delete the avatars then the users are going to get that dreaded 'red cross on white background' aren't they?

Any thoughts?

Yes if the avitars are not there, they will not load.

As for the skewing, this happens when the max upload size is set and avitars don't have dimentions stored in the database for them. Quite simply the fix is to either:
A. Remove them then add them back with the control panel.
B. Remove the maximum dimentions setting in the control panel (which is what they're defaulting to).

A will set the size of the graphics as they're entered.
B will make it so that they don't default to anything when there are no dimensions.

There is another option as well, and that would be to edit the template file for showflat.tpl and showthreaded.tpl to not use a size at all when including avatars (which I think should be the default option vs trying to set everything to a conformed standard; but, you can't make everyone happy).

Cheers Gizmo,
I went to profile settings and left max avatar width and height settings at 'blank' - no figure at all.

Is this what you meant here...?

However, the avatars that came from the old classic board now only appear as dots.

Confused.

Internet Explorer7 Im guessing... When height and width are set to "" it will load as 0x0; only real recourse is to edit the avitar settings in the template file to not load a height and a width (in my humble opinion anyway).

I'm going to post a thread at UBBDev about avitar issues within a couple of nights.
