We have email verification turned on, but industrious spammers in India log on daily to dump a ton of spam into our system. We really don't want to have to manually moderate all our new users- we get quite a lot of them who are good. However, when a spammer gets in 100 posts or more, it is a *royal* pain to track them all down and delete them one by one.

Is there any way to point at a user and just say 'delete all posts'?

If you want to get rid of the user as well, then just find the user under Member Management and delete them. When deleting them there is an option to delete all of their posts as well.

Well but then they can log back on again with that same email address right? We want to ban the user, and remove all their posts. Otherwise we'll be in a loop of them using the exact same email address to keep coming back, unless we start filling the banned email list manually with the spammer addresses ...?

easy, theres a reserved name area, it should have a section for email addresses as well.

I'm pretty sure that the email address bans supports wild cards. Might help.

By the way, the pruner allows you to put in a Member number, which would effectively work as a prune all by user without banning them.

You can't even begin to imagine how much spam we had in our system, and how many messages I was deleting by hand ...

Oh I can, my UBB.C forum was spammed daily, 50-60 new spam signups, 5 messages per driveby user, for a period of 6+ months...
