I am new to Threads, but used UBB Classic extensively. Using Classic, as Admin or Moderator, it was possible to be notified (by email) of all new Users and all new posts. I do not want to hold up the posting or registration process by requiring manual approval--I just want to be notified that new users/post events have occurred. Can this be done? I am running a small board, so not currently worried about potential overload. Thanks

And if you're wary of someone add them to your watched list too, then you can follow there posts everywhere lol..
Make sure.
1. Update your preferences. To e-mail when you add a watch.
You can always check these via the watched items and edit option.

I have not yet been able to make the email notification work. My preferences do specify email for Watch. I suspect the problem is in Primary Settings/Advanced Options/SMTP Server If the default isn't working, it's unclear how to set this value.

Also, I should mention, if you're using windows and need to specify detils for an smtp server, you can do so in the mailer directly by editing the libs/phpmailer/class.phpmailer.php around lines 180 and 186
