I'm a fairly stock fresh install, so I assume this isn't anything I have done.

But, top right of screen, where you can change your mood, the pop up has no "submit your mood" like it does on here.

If not a 7.1 bug, where is the text I am missing located... anyone know? \:\)

That text string should come from your languages/english/changemood.php language file. There is a line in there that should read:

$ubbt_lang['UPDATE_MOOD'] = "Update My Mood";

Ok, thanks.

The Update my Mood was in there, even thought it wasn't working.

So, I hit save anyway, and then it started working.

Oddly, it first told me to make all those files writeable -- another addition for the documenation perhaps? \:\)

I shouldn't be so hard on these guys, but 10 years on the UBB Classic, (is that like Coke Classic?)... has spoiled me.

Ted spelled things out, from day one, and when something went outside the box, he was there to help fix it, and then update the docs.
I spent a number of years doing installs for him in the early years too, so I did run into a few things... ;\)

I know this is an old thread, but I'm having this exact same problem (the option for changing mood is missing). The changemood.php file has the line in it that Rick indicated it should. I opened it and resaved it, still no go.

I second the request for better documentation. It'd be very helpful to have a detailed help file for how to do operate any and every feature that UBB.threads has. If there is one, I'm sure missing it!

Thanks IA for your help.

As it often happens, I found the answer after pulling my hair out, finally posting, and Voilla! I figure it out.

That option was not turned on in the Control Panel. For others trying to find an answer to this go to the Control Panel, then to Features, and scroll down to check the box "Enable User Moods?"
