A few people testing my new forums have all asked the same thing....
Where are the graemlines on the quick reply form? On classic there is a link to a popup where they appear? Seems 3 out of 3 testers missed that straight away.

The quick reply box is designed to be a "completely barebones" way to create posts; it's ment to have 0 additional options (other than the adding of ones signature) as the extended options are all listed on the full reply page.
One thing you have to keep in mind is that Threads and Classic existed side by side for years, each having their own development teams, where they both had similar features, they both had their own spins on how the features where rolled out.
Got to agree (and have mentioned it before) that the quick reply box needs a link to a graemlins pop-up box - and maybe a pop-up box for other items such as underline, bold, youtube etc...
It is most frustrating when you start to type a reply and want to add some extra content (even links) and can't remember the syntax - the only alternative is to cut and past the message typed so far and click on a reply button.
If we had the option to go to the full reply page, keeping the text entered in so far, it wouldn't be so bad.
And before any says 'it is easy to remember' - I am disabled, and have a poor brain at times, so can't always remember the simple items

I think the route we'll take is a link to switch to the full reply form. The quick reply is meant to be just that, to type a quick reply. So instead of adding more to the quick reply form, we'll just add a link that will switch you over to the full reply form with what you have typed so far intact.

You will need to upgrade / update your version of threads.
Its not available to us yet, as its still in testing debugging.
Shouldn't be too long, a few weeks ( at a guess)
