The whole search feature in our 7.1.1 is screwy.

1. It would not give the entire date parameters searched even though you see the thread if you do manual page by page hunt on the forum.
2. It would give results that are not relevant to the search word entered.
3. The prune selection at admin CP when manually check (clicked on a thread result) goes to another forum thread. The whole prune selection did this.
4. The search for member under member management will say no user ID found. Although you can find it on the forum User list.

And so on and so forth.

How can I resolve this before I grow bald.

Is there a reset like the old classic that will correct this problem?

Personally i think that this has to be looked at again,
its not that user friendly as in it could be better.

I think most of my members rely on the island search as it kicks out results no matter what.

But rick has mentioned that there will be an option coming soon to flip it over to the way it used to work.

It an under used feature in my opinion as the results
just dont come out for beginners.

i.e. someone who hasnt spent 2hrs sussing it out.

Just my thoughts, as i can get away with it now,
but my members cant.

My site's problem is that it doesn't even work like this site. It doesn't pull out some data that are there or relevant.
The admin CP is way messed up in searches or links for Manual pruning. It is hit or miss on finding members under member management.

I hope someone has a fix for this. Thanks.

I dont think its "Broken" as in not working,
but that the inputs could be better for beginners.

Like the custom island only has a submit.

Personally i think that it should default
to 1 year unless otherwise stated.
