I'm getting a lot of reports from users on IE that they can't log-out...even after clearing cookies with the board's "My Cookies" link.

I've verified this myself on someone's machine.

The only thing that seems to work is clearing cookies via the browser.

I guess having people stuck logged in is better than them not being to log-in, but is there some setting I might need to adjust to allow these people to log-off easier?

Thanks for any tips.

Ive had this once.

After Clearing my cookies and passwords it went away.
Never happened again.

But i think it was in FF - was about a month ago for me.

I cant remember if i was doing something to cause it,
i don't think i was, just a normal day ;\)

If your members get caught, as you say clearing the
cookies via the browser should be the end of it.

I know i tried "My Cookies" via the forums and cleared them i was
still logged in lol...

Thanks. This is a much better problem to have than them not getting on, so I'm not stressing yet. For now, I'm telling them to clear them via the browser.

It may be because you have been playing with the re-direct
and there cookies have gone nuts that way.

But once you have finished playing with the redirect
and your members clear there browser cookies
it shouldn't happen again ;\)

In my experience anyway.

It could be something related to your other post Mitch. If they are going to your domain with/without the www portion it can cause a variety of problems with cookies.

Thanks. I took Gizmo's tip about setting up the htaccess redirect so these issues should eventually clear out on their own, once everyone is on "www" pages.

Should ;)...

Cross domain cookie issues are a fickle misstress... I'm STILL trying to get AA to apply that to UBBDev :/...
