Is there a way to have a person who registers on the forum to be in one group, and then when they reach, say, 100 posts to automatically be put in another group?

I want to limit new users to writing to a specific forum that I created a group for, if I make that the default group for new users, where can I have that change when a certain post count is reached ?

I think in Classic I had that ability to limit a forum by thread count.

currently no - but I think that functions via groups / number of posts would be an excellent benefit to admins of threads

What I am trying to do is limit people from a "For Sale" forum to prevent people from just coming over for that reason to sell things.

We feel a minimum post count would at best help limit some of the people who just try to use the forum for sales. This way someone's first post isn't in the For Sale Section and with 12K members I don't want to have to do it manually to assign people to this group.

This would be an excellent addition to .threads. User Group "advancements" or "promotions" would be a great feature.

"Postcount Restricted Forums" was always a good alternative via UBBDev; but i'm not sure if it's been updated to 7.x yet.

Personally I'm going to wait until Rick brings them in.
As i guess there going to be pretty complicated.
And hooks into everything.
